Nashville Streets

I’ve been MIA for some time now over the holidays but I will get some new content up here very soon! I didn’t realize when I started this blog how time consuming it is to maintain a regular posting schedule. I haven’t really taken this site in the direction I wanted to either but I’m learning as I go. I feel that I sort of took my creative drive away too by planning on doing so many future projects to start out with and then on top of that making my posts take too much time putting together for publishing. It started feeling like a second job, one that I wasn’t getting paid for so I didn’t want anything to do with it. I strive to change all that and just have some fun!

Earlier this month I attended Franklin’s annual Christmas Parade. I took this as a great opportunity to get back out and shoot some candid street images. We got to the square just early enough so that I could pick the perfect spot; the angle of the sunlight was spot on too. I used my Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VRfor all these and really enjoyed using it!

The parade starts at a park near West Main and travels down Main Street into the square and loops back around. It features local school marching bands and dance troupes as well as a colorful display of floats designed by schools, scouts, area businesses and more…
